Vimla

One year ago, fourteen year-old Vimla would make 7-10 trips per day to collect water for her family.   As the sole provider of her family, Vimla’s mother struggled to make ends meet by working at nearby farms.

Today, Vimla is attending school.  A brand new rainwater harvesting tank provides her family with clean water. A newly constructed Khadin (farming dyke) has enabled her mother to grow wheat and millet for income generation.  She is also growing fruits and vegetables next to their water tank.

Vimla is now focused on her studies.  She is an excellent student and wants to become a teacher so that she can help to uplift students in her village.

OneProsper ensures that each girl gets the support she needs to attend school. She and her family receive:
