Guddi

Guddi’s life has been transformed during the past year.  One year ago, Guddi’s days were spent in water collection.  She would frequently face heat stroke walking miles across the desert.

Today, Guddi is going to school.  A brand new rainwater harvesting tank provides her family with clean water.  Her mother has setup a kitchen garden next to the tank; enabling Guddi to eat fruits and green vegetables.  In addition, her mother has planted wheat and millet for income.  Water from a brand new Khadin (farming dyke) provides irrigation.

Guddi’s eyes sparkle as she describes her school and friends.  She is grateful for the gift of education and will work hard to make the most of this opportunity.
