Hastu

One year ago, along with her sister, Hastu would walk hours to collect water.   Her mother would struggle to make ends meet.

Today, Hastu is attending school daily.  A brand new rainwater harvesting tank provides the family with clean water.  Hastu’s health has improved as well. She would frequently fall sick from drinking dirty water and suffer heat stroke while walking hours to collect water.  OneProsper’s support has enabled Hastu’s  mother to build a Khadin (farming dyke) on her farmland.  As a result, she is growing wheat and millet for income.  The family growing fruits and vegetables for nutrition.

Hastu  is determined to make the most of the opportunity she has received. She is determined to complete her high school education and then secure a government job.   She is grateful to everyone that has helped to transform her and her family’s lives.
