Kamla

One year ago, Kamla would make 7-10 trips across the desert per day to collect water for her family.

Today, Kamla is thrilled to be attending school.  She has received a brand new bicycle and textbooks.  Kamla’s family has clean water year round thanks to their rainwater harvesting tank and biosand filter.   Kamla’s  mother has planted grains using water from a Khadin (farming dyke).   As a result, Kamla and her family have clean water, nutritious food and increased income.  Kamla is now able to focus on her studies and is committed to making the most of this opportunity.
