Seema

One year ago, Seema could not imagine going to school.  She would walk hours in scorching heat across the desert to collect water for her family along with her sister and mother.

Today, Seema has clean water all year found thanks to her family’s brand new rainwater harvesting tank and filter.   She helps her mother to plant fruits and vegetables using the water from the tank.  Her mother has also planted fields of wheat and millet. Water from a brand new Khadin (farming dyke) irrigates her crops.

As a result, Seema is now going to school rather than collecting water.

Seema face is all smiles.  She is so happy to receive the opportunity to complete her studies.  She is determined to make the most of her opportunity and has the full support of her family
